Red Velvet Smoothie

Red velvet is one of those flavor profiles we used to indulge but could never hone in on the actual individual ingredients.

This smoothie takes the mystery out of red velvet with a healthy spin. This is a great quick infusing of beets, cocoa and berries for some added sweetness.

Break this one out for a quick breakfast or a satisfying guilt free dessert.

We have also added an optional cream cheese based “frosting”, which was used as a finishing garnish to emulated a slice of cake. While the cream cheese is optional, it really does add a depth and richness that completes the red velvet and cream cheese frosting combination that is all so common.
